Stephen Chamot is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Colorado, USA, working on flexible wave energy converters (flex WECs) on the Distributed Embedded Energy Conversion Technologies (DEEC-Tec) Project.

He has developed manufacturing and testing procedures for the research and development of multiple types of hyper-elastic energy transducers. And has worked on designs for flex WECs utilizing energy harvesting means such as inductance, variable capacitance and hydraulics.
