Patrick Hultberg

Patrick Hultberg is pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Engineering in the Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He is currently working in the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center as a research assistant on a North Carolina Renewable Ocean Energy Program (NCROEP) project entitled “Resource Assessment for Combined Wind and Wave Energy Harnessing from Carolinas Offshore Wind Lease Areas”.

He received the best poster award at the annual NCROEP Symposium at the Coastal Studies Institute in April, 2024. Mr. Hultberg is also actively involved with promoting robotics and additive manufacturing at the K-12 level through US Department of Energy funded project at the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Mr. Hultberg is also a member of UNC Charlotte Marine Energy Collegiate Competition Team for the 2025 MECC competition. The UNC Charlotte MECC team was recognized as the “Rising Stars” during the 2024 competition at the Ocean Renewable Energy Conference in Portland, Oregon.
