Leigh Baxter

(IDCORE) University of Edinburgh

Leigh is a Research Engineer currently working with Quoceant towards achieving an Engineering Doctorate (EngD) through the EPSRC Industrial CDT in Offshore Renewable Energy (IDCORE). She has expertise in delivering large and small-scale component testing and qualification projects for the oil and gas and nuclear sectors but her passion for the environment and sustainability drew her to the renewable energy industry in 2022.

Her EngD project is focused on the development of Quoceant’s Q-Connect, a marine quick connection system originally designed for wave and tidal devices, but with huge potential for use within the floating offshore wind sector.
