Anulekha Majumdar

National Institute of Ocean Technology

Anulekha Majumdar has been working at the National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai, India, as a scientist since 2015. She is involved in designing and developing mechanical components required to produce fresh water and electricity from the ocean, such as turbines, flash chambers and condensers.

She is also involved in developing and setting up the first-ever open cycle Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) plant in India. She has a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech in Ocean Engineering. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in wave energy converters.
