Sjoerd has a background and expertise in Finance. Since 2014 Sjoerd has been working for the Netherlands Enterprise Agency which is directly related to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate.

In his current role he is involved in the advisory (financial) of large subsidy applications in the field of renewable Electricity, Green Chemistry, storage and Micro grids. Therefor he is a key figure for Entrepreneurs, financiers and Policy makers. Furthermore he works closely with colleagues within the Ministry but also with colleagues in the Region’s in order to support and facilitate upscaling of Renewable Energy Solutions. For Ocean Energy Systems Sjoerd represents the Netherlands within the EIA.
