Dr Nicolás Faedo

Politecnico di Torino

Nicolás Faedo was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1991. He received the degree in automation and control engineering from the National University of Quilmes, Buenos Aires, in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Department of Electronic Engineering, Maynooth University, Kildare, Ireland, in 2020, with a focus on optimal control and model reduction for wave energy converters from a system-theoretic perspective. He currently holds a research fellowship position with the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy.

His current research interests include nonlinear optimal control theory and data-driven model reduction, with special emphasis on applications involving renewable energy systems.
