Dr Wesley Williams

Dr. Williams is an associate professor in the College of Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He earned his BS, MS, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, respectively. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of North Carolina, and worked in the pharmaceutical industry before joining academia.
His research focuses on the modeling, prototyping, and testing of mechanisms for renewable energy systems, specifically wave energy converters. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Williams is a co-founder of WaterBros Desal, a small business focused on developing wave-based desalination systems and other marine energy technologies.
