Dr Hemerson Tonin

Dr.Hemerson Tonin is a Physical Oceanographer – Numerical Modelling. He was awarded his PhD in Physical Oceanography – Flinders University (Australia) in 2006.

He is a Physical Oceanographer specializing in numerical modelling processes of estuarine, coastal and continental shelf regions to include hydrodynamics, waves, water quality, sediment transport and pollutant transport, fate and effects.

Before joining AIMS, he worked for seven years as physical oceanographer/modeler for a world-leading environmental consulting company, developing skills in planning, collection and data analysis, numerical modelling and technical reports of EIA, development and application of advanced environmental software and computer modelling systems.
