Naval Architect (Universidad Austral de Chile – UACh) and PhD in Engineering Sciences (Technical University of Berlin), currently Associate Professor and Director of the Institute of Naval and Maritime Sciences at UACh.
He is also in charge of the Wave and Towing Tank of the same university and participates as a researcher in the Marine Energy Research and Innovation Center (MERIC) and in the Australian Blue Economy Collaborative Research Centre.
He has directed and participated, in the last 12 years, in more than 15 research projects in topics related to the design and hydrodynamics of floating systems, especially in marine renewable energies (wave, tidal and floating wind).
